When it comes to wedding photography, you may have a bunch of questions that you want to ask your photographer and that's okay! It's perfectly normal to feel a little anxious when making one of the biggest decisions for your big day. If you aren't quite sure where to start here is a list of questions you can ask when you inquire or chat with your photographer!

  1. Can we see a full wedding gallery?

Yes, it is okay to ask to see a gallery they have completed to see if you like the way they shoot, or to see if you like their editing style! Another place you could check out is that photographers fakebook, website, and/or Instagram as most photographer's post photos on their pages! I am sure they wouldn't mind sharing 1 or 2 galleries! Remember though, other people's wedding are not... YOURS! Try to have an open mind and picture YOUR own wedding day!

2. What is included in your packages?

Every photographer is different! Some include extra images, add on's, second photographers, you name it! Make sure you know what's included in your ideal package before picking! For example: My middle package is priced at 3500$ and with that you are getting 50-60 edits per hour, an engagement session, a second shooter and an online gallery! You never know what will be added in the total price!

3. What's a second shooter and do you offer one?

A second shooter is great to have! They are there to help the main photographer get different angles, backup if anything were to happen to the main photographer, and usually they hang with the groom + groomsmen to get their getting ready process while the main photographer hangs with the bride and bridesmaids! If a second photographer is not added in your photographer's price, then ask if you can add it on! Trust me when I say they are essential!

4. How will we get our gallery?

This question is super important! It all depends on the photographer but most deliver through an online service (ex: Pixieset, Pic-Time)! If you prefer to have your photos on a USB that's definitely something you can check with and see if your photographer offers that! If your photographer delivers your photos through an online service, you get to download the photos to any phone or computer!

5. What happens if an emergency occurs (GOD FORBID!!!) and you cannot make it to our wedding?

This question is FRIGHTENING but good to know just in case (YOU NEED A PLAN B!). Things happen and unfortunately that's life. Check with your photographer if they will provide a backup photographer or if you are responsible for a backup if they are unable to attend. The last thing you want is to be left photographerless!

I hope this helps and remember; find someone you can connect with! Being in front of the camera can be intimidating and vulnerable so find someone who makes you comfortable!
